CROWLEY – Cosby “Buster” Morgan 89, of Highlands, Texas was called to be home with his Lord on March 12, 2008. He was surrounded by his wife, family and friends.
Buster was born in Crowley, La on June 26, 1918. He was a long standing member of the Carpenter’s Local Union No. 551 and was an active member and contributor of the First Church of the Nazarene in Baytown, Texas for many years. Buster worked as a carpenter by trade and in his spare time he enjoyed playing music, listening to gospel music and spending time with his family. Buster was a very caring and loving person that will be missed by all that knew him.
Buster is preceded in death by his parents Rev. Francis and Ethel Morgan. Two Brothers, Woodrow Morgan and Rev. Billy Ray Morgan. Four sisters, Arline Schaffer, Pauline Faulk, Opal Spell and Evelyn Spell. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Ruby Morgan, daughter Tammy Lockhart, granddaughter Amy Lockhart-Gulley and husband Arlin, granddaughter Rachael Lockhart, sister Deryrle Rodgers, special friends Bob and Carla Anderson and many other relatives and friends.
The family received friends from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday March 13, 2008 at Sterling-White Funeral Home. Funeral services were held Friday March 14, 2008 10 a.m. at Sterling-White Funeral Home with Dr. “SC” Stevenson and Rev. Russell Rodgers officiating with interment following at Sterling-White Cemetery. Services were entrusted to Sterling-White Funeral Home 11011 Crosby-Lyncburg Rd Highlands, Texas 281-426-3555.
