Lady Jays wrap up season with 8-2 loss to Menard

On Thursday, the Lady Jays wrapped up their regular season, dropping a 8-2 decision to Holy Savior Menard in Alexandria in a nondistrict competition.
Menard scored first in the bottom of the second with one run.
They added three more in the bottom of the third inning to lead 4-0.
St. Eds got on the scoreboard in the top of the sixth inning, when Leah Andrus scored on a passed ball.
Paige Guillory drove in one run when she reached first on an error by Menard’s first baseman.
But the Lady Eagles broke out for four runs in the second half to seal the win.
Andrus (15-10-1) pitched the loss, giving up eight runs, six earned, off of 11 hits and a walk. Andrus struck out two batters in the seven-inning game.
