LHSAA error changes Bobcat first-round playoff schedule

With another revision in the Class 4A state playoff schedule, Eunice High’s first-round playoff opponent was changed back to Parkway, and the game was scheduled to be played out Saturday evening at 5 p.m. in Bossier City.

The Louisiana High School Athletic Association acknowledged Friday afternoon that revised brackets given to coaches at the end of Wednesday’s meeting were incorrect, and Eunice was in fact the 18th seed, not 17th, as the previous bracket had indicated.

As a result, the previously arranged game at DeRidder Friday was cancelled, and a new game was hastily set up at Parkway Saturday evening post press time.

Tioga reclaimed its spot in the most-recently revised brackets, making DeRidder its first-round opponent.
