Evening ceremony units couple

St. Martinville’s beautiful historic Evangeline Oak Tree provided the setting for an outdoor, sunset wedding ceremony uniting Brooke Ann Boudreaux of Youngsville and Aubrey Jude Quibodeaux of Lafayette. The nuptial vows were exchanged on March 22, at 7 p.m. Justice of the Peace Tommy Boutte officiated the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Glenn Boudreaux and the late LaJuana Landry Boudreaux of Charlotte, North Carolina. She is the granddaughter of Irene Landry and the late P.V. Landry II of Lafayette and Vera Boudreaux and the late W.J. Boudreaux of Jennings.

Brooke is a graduate of Comeaux High School and the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She is currently employed as a teacher with the Lafayette Parish school system

The groom is the son of Raymond and Susan Quibodeaux of Crowley. He is the grandson of Alvin Voorhies, Sr. and Rudell Voorhies, both of Crowley; and the late Felix Quibodeaux, the late Mildred Wilson Whitley and Hoyt B. Whitley of Branchville, Alabama.

Aubrey is a graduate of Crowley High School, University of Louisiana at Lafayette and the Community College of the U.S. Air Force. He is a veteran of the United States Air Force and the Louisiana Army National Guard. He is self-employed with The Finer Details.

Following the ceremony, an inside and poolside reception was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. P.V. “Rocky” Landry III of Youngsville. Beautiful floral creations made by a Broussard florist were placed throughout the reception area.

The bride’s cake featured a two-tiered, round almond flavored confection. Her cake was topped with accents of pink and ivory roses, mimicking the roses in her bouquet.

The groom’s cake was a delicious snickers cake.

After returning from a wedding trip to Seattle, Washington and Victoria, B.C., Canada, the couple will reside in Youngsville.

A rehearsal dinner, hosted by the groom’s parents, was held at the bride’s home on March 21, at 6 p.m. Guest were served boiled crawfish with all the trimmings.
