Louisiana State Newspapers garner awards
LAFAYETTE – Newspapers representing Louisiana State Newspapers (LSN) took home 141 awards including 54 first place plaques in the Better Newspaper Competition. The awards were handed out at the awards luncheon held Saturday at the Holidome.
Highlighting the award presentations were the Rayne Acadian-Tribune and the Amite Tangi-Digest earning Newspaper of the Year honors in their respective categories. The Bunkie Record was also awarded Sweepstakes in the editorial competition.
This was the 128th Annual Louisiana Press Association convention.
The Crowley Post-Signal, competing in Division 4 with other dailies across the state garnered four awards including one first place plaque.
That first place was for Most Effective Use of Graphic Design on a page. Other awards were for Best News Story, Best Special Section and Best Graphic Design.
