ALMA LANDRENEAU BROWN

February 8, 1928 - May 25, 2008

EUNICE - Funeral services were held for Alma Landreneau Brown, 80, of Eunice, at St. Thomas Roman Catholic Church in Savoy at 1 p.m., Tuesday, May 27. Burial followed in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Eunice.

Mrs. Brown died Sunday, May 25, 2008, at Acadian Medical Center in Eunice. She was retired from Home Health Services. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Frederick Brown of Eunice; three sons, Carl Brown and his wife, Katie, of St. Martinville, Keith Brown and his wife, Kathy, of Lafayette and Gregory Brown and his wife, Cindy, of Scott; two daughters, Margaret Stageman and her husband, Craig, of Eunice and Joanie Quibodeaux and her husband, Stephan, of Abbeville; 17 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Landry and Azina Miller Landreneau; and one brother, A.L. Landreneau.

Pall bearers were Carl Brown, Keith Brown, Gregory Brown, Brice Quibodeaux, Douglas Moreau and Scotty Brown. Honorary pall bearers were Kearnie Brignac and Duane Landreneau.

Father Sonny Brown officiated.

PERCY BELAIRE FONTENOT

February 26, 1924 - May 26, 2008

Funeral services were held for Percy Belaire Fontenot, 84, of Ville Platte, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ville Platte at 10 a.m., Wednesday, May 28. Burial followed in the Eternal Rest Cemetery.

Mr. Fontenot died at 7 p.m., Monday, May 26, 2008, at Ville Platte Medical Center.

Survivors include one brother, Lee Ed Fontenot of Ville Platte.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Matt and Enest Fontenot; and six brothers and sisters.

Father Josh Guillory officiated.

JOHN ‘RAY’ FUSELIER

October 28, 1944 - May 27, 2008

Funeral services were held for John “Ray” Fuselier, 63, of Point Blue, at Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Chataignier at 3 p.m., Wednesday, May 28. Burial followed in the Evangeline Memorial Cemetery.

Mr. Fuselier died at 9:15 a.m., Tuesday, May 27, 2008, at Ville Platte Medical Center.

Survivors include his wife, Macquelyn “Mackie” Fuselier of Point Blue; one son, Tony Miller and his wife, Liz, of Broussard; four daughters, Tammy Courville and her husband, Keith, of Point Blue and Melissa Luke and her husband, Henry, Cecilia Veillon and Carolyn Fontenot, all of Ville Platte; one sister, Patsy Ray and her husband, Floyd, of Plaquemine; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by two daughters, Monica Millier and Rachel Miller; his parents, Littell and Clemance Fuselier; and three grandchildren.

Deacon T.J. Richard officiated.

BELAIRE COVE - Funeral services were held for Noah Jerome Lee, one, of Belaire Cove, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Belaire Cove at 4 p.m., Wednesday, May 28. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

ROSE LAFLEUR

January 10, 1915 - May 28, 2008

Funeral services will be held for Rose Lafleur, 93, of Ville Platte, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ville Platte at 12 noon, Saturday, May 31. Burial will follow in the Sacred Heart Mausoleum.

Ms. Lafleur died at 1:10 a.m., Wednesday, May 28, 2008, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home.

Survivors include four sons, Wilbur Lafleur of Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, Jimmy Lafleur and his wife, Connie Vidrine, and Danny Lafleur and his wife, Brenda Dupre, all of Ville Platte, and Carl Lafleur of Westwego; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
