Matthew Neal Shaw
JENNINGS – A funeral mass for Matthew Neal Shaw, 45, will be held Monday, June 2, 2008 at 10 a.m. at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Raymond.
Monsignor Ronald Groth will officiate.
Burial will follow at Raymond Cemetery under the direction of Matthews and Son Funeral Home of Jennings.
Visitation will be Sunday, June 1, 2008 from 10:30 a.m. until 10 p.m. and Monday from 8 a.m. until time of service.
A rosary will be recited Sunday evening at 7 p.m.
Mr. Shaw was born in Kinder and grew up on his family’s farm in Pine Island. He was a hard worker and gained a passion for the trucking industry. He was a truck driver until his cancer diminished his capacity for the work he loved. At the time of his death, he was residing with his wife, Tammy, in Estherwood.
Survivors include his wife, Tammy, of Estherwood; four daughters, Mallory Nicole Fontenot and husband Shawn of Evangeline and Taryn Allaina of Jennings, Amanda LeJeune and husband Brain of Morse and Cynthia Wirtz and husband Everett of Estherwood; one son Shelby Manceaux of Gueydan; his parents Shirley and Richard Shaw, Sr., two brothers Richard Shaw, Jr. and wife, Gina of Lake Charles and David Shaw and wife, Terri of Moss Bluff; two sisters Stacy Manuel and husband, Danny of Kinder and Pam Cooley and husband, Robert of Bremmenton, Washington and two grandchildren, Madison and Kyle LeJeune of Morse.
Mourning his death will also be his godfather, John Knight and wife, Aunt Linda and numerous other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Haleigh Elizabeth; his grandparents, Everett and Mary Eula Shaw and Eugene and Hannah (Anna) LeDoux and godmother Virgie LeDoux.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Matthews and Son Funeral Home of Jennings.
