APSO conducts early morning raid
CROWLEY – Armed with 21 warrants on 16 defendants, law enforcement officers from the Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office, Acadia Parish Narcotic Strike Force and Probation of Parole began executing warrants shortly before day break.
According to Acadia Parish Sheriff Wayne Melancon individuals arrested were from the Crowley, Rayne and Duson area wanted for Possession and/or Distribution of various illegal substances.
Arrested were:
•William Perry, 41, of Truman Street, Crowley. Distribution of Oxycodone. Bond set at $30,000.
•Homer Wilridge, 47, of Jacob Street, Crowley. Distribution of Crack Cocaine. Bond set at $30,000.
•Desmond Woods, 21, of N Avenue A, Crowley. Two counts of Distribution of Crack Cocaine. Bond set at $60,000.
•Marcus Penn, 25, of Magnolia Street, Crowley. Distribution of Marijuana. Bond set at $20,000.
•Marcus Shane Garrett, 41, of N Avenue A, Crowley. Distribution of Alprazolam. Bond set at $30,000.
•Charles Durand, Jr., 30, of East Andrus, Crowley. Possession of Codeine. Bond set at $20,000.
•John Moore aka Kabookie, 26 of Westwood, Crowley. 2 counts of Distribution of Crack Cocaine. Bond set at $60,000.
•Anthony McClelland, 43, of Section Street, Rayne. Distribution of Marijuana, Distribution of Crack Cocaine. Bond set at $50,000.
•Gerald Grogan, 33, of N Arenas Street, Rayne. Distribution of Crack Cocaine. Bond set at $30,000.
•Jared LeJeune, 25 of Quarter Pole Road, Duson. Possession of Lorazepam & Possession of Meperdine. Bond set at $40,000.
•Cody Trahan, 24 of Quarter Pole Road, Duson. Possession of Lorazepam & Possession of Meperdine. Bond set at $40,000.
Sheriff Melancon stated that members of the Narcotic Task Force are looking for the following individuals. Anyone knowing their whereabouts is asked to contact the Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office at 788-8700.
•Kevin Terrell Wilson of Crowley for distribution of crack.
•James O’Neal, Jr. of Crowley for distribution of ecstasy.
•Jarvis Martin of Crowley for possession of cocaine and possession of marijuana.
•Quincy Beverly of Crowley for distribution of cocaine.
Bonds were set by District Judge John Trahan and District Judge Glenn Everett.
