Gabrielle Granger honored at bridal shower

The home of Mr. and Mrs. Jayce Steen of Iota was the setting for a 2 p.m. bridal shower on March 30, in honor of Gabrielle Granger.

Gabrielle is the bride-elect of Lorne Doucet. She is the daughter of Darrel and Mariette Granger of Iota.

The groom-to-be is the son of Leonard and Becky Doucet of Iota.

For her special occasion, the honoree was attired in a light pink sun-dress which featured an empire waist and spaghetti straps of chiffon, accented with pink satin trim. She was given a corsage of antique yellow and pink-tipped roses.

The mother of the bride was lovely in a turquoise and brown two-piece linen capri set, accented with brown beading.

Mrs. Doucet was attired in brown capri pants and nectar tunic top. Both mothers were presented corsages of roses matching the honoree.

Guests were served finger foods of all sorts and confections served with chocolate coffee punch.

Seventy five guests were in attendance, registering from Texas, Lake Charles, and Osterville, Massachusetts.

The couple will solemnize their vows on Friday, June 6 during a 7 p.m. ceremony at St. Michael Catholic Church in Crowley.
