July 19 election ballot is set, register to vote
CROWLEY – Three tax propositions will be on the ballot in the July 19 Propositions Only Election, according to Registrar of Voters Billie J. Meyer.
The town of Church Point is seeking voter approval for
a sales tax, while Fire District No. 3 is seeking a tax renewal. The Sheriff’s Law Enforcement District is proposing a nine mill property tax for a period of five years.
The last day for persons to register to vote on the July 19 ballot will be Wednesday, July 18.
Regular office hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday on the first floor in Room 115 of the Parish courthouse.
Proper identification required for registering to vote is one of the following documents: current Louisiana driver’s license, current Louisiana identification card, birth certificate and/or baptismal certificate.
Early voting for the July 19 election will begin on Saturday, July 5, and July 7, and take place through Saturday, July 12. Office hours will be from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
Proper identification is required and includes a current driver’s license, a state identification card or a voter registration card.
The Election Supervisors will draw commissioners’ names at 10 a.m. on June 20.
