CROWLEY – The second Crowley’s Night at the Rice Variety Show will be held this Saturday, June 21 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the historic Rice Theatre in downtown Crowley. The variety show is scheduled to be
held on the third Saturday of each month.

Barry Premeaux will resume his duties as the Master of Ceremonies. Just a few days after last month’s show, Premeaux was already brimming with anticipation about this week’s event.

“I got several positive responses from the people who attended the show last month and it kind of made me feel that we had to perform just as well if not better for our June show,” he said.

Premeaux seemed especially proud of the fact that it was a family oriented event that parents could bring their kids to.

“Parents don’t have to worry about bringing their children to the show,” he said. “There is plenty of fun for people of all ages.”

This month’s acts include Ms. Charlene Howard, known as the songstress of the south; gospel singer Cicero Best; dancer Miranda Bertrand; comedian Darryl Pellerin; and Parris Plaisancee’s tribute to Elvis.

Tickets are $10 for reserved seating and $5 for children under 12. They can be purchased at City Hall or by calling Charlotte Jeffers at (337) 783-0824.
