John Ledet

OPELOUSAS – Funeral services for John Ledet, 83, will be held on Saturday, July 5, 2008 at 11 a.m. in St. Theresa Catholic Church in Crowley.

Burial will take place in St. Michael’s Cemetery in Crowley.

Rev. Emmanual Etim will be officiating the funeral services.

Ledet, a Crowley resident, died on Sunday, June 29, 2008 in American Legion Hospital in Crowley. He was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church. He served in the United States Army and was a veteran of World War II.

Surviving Ledet are his niece and caretaker, Suella (Rev. Louis) Dugar of Crowley; a daughter, Cecilia Robinson of Houston; two stepsons, Belton Narcisse and Wilfred Delco, Jr., both of Houston; ten grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Olivia Ledet; his parents, Armand and Rita Paul Ledet; two sisters, Beulah Zeno and Mary Melancon; and three brothers, Curley, Henry and Callis Ledet.

Visitation will be observed on Saturday, July 5, 2008 from 8:30 to 10:45 a.m. in St. Theresa Catholic Church.
