CROWLEY – A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Friday, July 11, 2008 at Saint Michael’s Catholic Church for Estelle Adams, 83, who died Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at Southwind Nursing Home.
Fr. Gary Schexnayder, Pastor of Saint Michael’s will celebrate the Mass and Committal services at the Woodlawn Mausoleum. Deacon Rodless LeLeux will lead the Rosary at 7 p.m. Thursday. Visitation will be Thursday from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. until service time.
Ms. Adams, lovingly known as “Tant Doux” to her many nieces and nephews, was born October 12, 1924 in Kaplan. She worked in the banking industry and was employed at Bank of Commerce for many years.
She is survived by a sister, Mabel Saltzman and her husband, Wilman “Man” of Groves, Texas; a sister-in-law, Wilma Adams of Kaplan; numerous loving nieces and nephews; and her extended family, Mary Ann Sagrera, Beverly Deville and Rosie Trahan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sevenia and Azemie Monceaux Adams; four sisters, Hazel Leleux, Emay Stelly, Lenora Marascalco and Elisa Adams; a brother, Alton Adams.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home, Inc. of Crowley.
