Congressional races shape up

LAFAYETTE – Two incumbents in the Acadiana area look to be challenged in the fall during elections.

State Representative Charles Boustany, R-Lafayette, who represents the 7th Congressional District, will have to run against Peter Vidrine, Other - Eunice, and Donald Cravens, Jr., D-Opelousas.

State Senator Mary Landrieu, D-New Orleans, will face opposition from State Treasurer John Kennedy, R-Baton Rouge in the U.S. State Senate race. Both have announced that they will qualify Friday morning in Baton Rouge.
