1-10 crash leaves two injured

LAFAYETTE – Louisiana State Police – Troop I is investigating a single vehicle critical crash on I-10 westbound, east of Egan, within Acadia Parish, which took place at approximately 4 a.m. Monday morning.

Thirty- seven year old Angela Cloud of Kinder, La, was operating a 2002 Oldsmobile Alero, in the westbound lane on I-10 near milepost 73 when, for unknown reasons, the vehicle traveled off roadway right, entered a ditch and struck a tree on the north side of I-10.

A passenger in the vehicle twenty-nine year old Christopher Alfaro, sustained critical injuries as a result of the crash and was transported to Lafayette General Medical Center.

Cloud sustained moderate injuries and was transported to Crowley American Legion.

Alcohol is suspected to be a contributing factor in this crash.
