Eight-year-old All Stars thank community

Dear Editor,

We, the eight-year-old Ville Platte All Stars, recently attended the regional tournament in Gonzales and went undefeated to win the regional championship.

We now advance to the National Tournament, which will be held in Slidell from July 16, to July 20.

We, the eight-year-old girls, would like to take this opportunity to say thank you for all the donations, sponsors and po-boy sale that have helped us to raise money to attend the national tournament.

Also, thank you to KVPI and staff for having us on the radio. Randy Guillory, with KVPI, will attend the national tournament to broadcast our games to you back home.

Again, thank you to the citizens of Evangeline Parish for making this possible.

May God bless you and keep us in your prayers.
