Northside holds graduation

CROWLEY – Graduation ceremonies took place Friday evening at Northside Assembly of God’s Acadiana Cathedral for the class of 2008 at Northside Christian School.

The ceremony commence by Principal Randy Trahan welcoming everyone and then handed the microphone over to Pastor Singley who asked every to please stand for the opening prayer.

Principal Trahan proceeded to congratulate the senior class of 2008. Awards where then given to the top five Honor Graduates Lacey Hahn, Karen Miller, Stuart Monte, Kathryn Newsom and Erik Woodard, Salutatorian Lacey Hahn, the two Valedictorians Karen Miller and Erik Woodard and the Principal’s Award recipient Kathryn Newsom.

“Life is not always fair, but God is always faithful”, was a lasting remark directed to the senior class by Principal Trahan.

This year’s graduating class included Ashley Abshire, Sarah Ancelet, Gabriel Bates, Skylar Comeaux, Tyler Comeaux, Lacey Hahn, Jenise Hanks, Rebekah Klumpp, Eric Landry, Karen Miller, Stuart Monte, Jonathon Morgan, Kathryn “Katy” Newsom, Chance Semar, Devin Simon, Byron Smith, Kalie “Kali” Wheeler and Erik Woodard.

The motto for this graduating class was “We all take different paths in life, but no matter where we go, we take a little of each other everywhere” – Booker T. Washington.
