Adam Terry

MAMOU - Funeral services will be held for Adam Terry, 80, of Mamou, at Zion Travelers Baptist Church in Mamou at 11 a.m., Saturday, November 16. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Terry died Sunday, November 10, 2013, at his residence.
Survivors include his loving wife of 59 years, Mrs. Pearlie Mae Celestine Terry of Mamou; three sons, Emery Terry (Versie) and Elwood Terry (Beverly), both of Mamou, and Quince Terry (Lisa) of Lafayette; one daughter, Yvonner Ceaser (Richard) of Lake Charles; two sisters, Claudia Traylor of Eunice and Mazie Terry of Mamou; two sisters-in-law, Verlia Murphy of Mamou and Georgiana Edwards of Fort Worth, Texas; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; eight step-great-grandchildren; extended son, Rev. Wilfred “Tate” Ardoin; a special friend, Vernon Charles of Mamou; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifton and Adea LaRue Terry; one brother, Efferson Terry; and one great-grandson, Jaylen Jamal.
Visiting hours will be observed from 7 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., Saturday, November 16, at Zion Traveler Baptist Church in Mamou.
Rev. Allen W. Ben will officiate.
