PINE PRAIRIE - Funeral services will be held for A.J. Guillory, 87, of Pine Prairie, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Pine Prairie at 3:15 p.m., Thursday, June 18. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
A loving husband, father, brother and grandfather, Mr. Guillory died Monday, June 15, 2015, at Prairie Manor Nursing Home in Pine Prairie. He proudly served his country in the United States Army.
Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Verla Fontenot Guillory of Pine Prairie; one son, Michael Guillory and his wife, Dorothy, of Ville Platte; one brother, J.R. Guillory of Pine Prairie; and three sisters, Effie Ardoin of Krotz Springs, Emily Charlie of Ville Platte and LouAnna Guillory of Carencro. Also left behind to cherish his memory are his two grandchildren, Toby Guillory and Carissa Guillory; and four great-grandchildren, Taylor, Logan and Alayna Guillory and Noah Godeaux.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rene and Elise Ortego Guillory.
Father Richard Broussard will officiate.
