Allen Jacobs Sr.

PORT ARTHUR, Texas - Funeral services will be held for Allen “One Arm Jake” Jacobs Sr., 78, of Port Arthur, Texas, at New Hope Baptist Church in Port Arthur at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 26.
A native of Ville Platte, Mr. Jacobs died Saturday, April 19, 2014, at Mid-Jefferson Hospital in Nederland, Texas. He moved to Port Arthur, Texas, and owned his own business as a cement finisher. He worked in the business for over 50 years.
Survivors include two sisters, Alice Fontenot and Mary Guillory; two brothers, Ronald Jacobs and Harry Jacobs; eight children, Derry, Debbie, Allen Jr., Adrian, Donna, Diane, Charles and Allanna; and his loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hillary Jacobs and Comelia LaDay Jacobs; and one brother, Aaron Jacobs.
Visitation will be held Saturday, April 26, at New Hope Baptist Church from 9 a.m. until time of service.
