Amanda Lenae Douget

MAMOU - Funeral services were held for Amanda Lenae Douget, 47, of Mamou, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Mamou at 2 p.m., Tuesday, May 10. Burial followed in the New St. Ann’s Cemetery.
A wonderful wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend, Ms. Douget died Friday, May 6, 2016, at Christus St. Francis Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria.
Survivors include her husband, Jeffery Jay Douget of Reddell; two sons, Jarred Douget and his fiance’, Kate Spears, and Travis Douget and his wife, Hannah, all of Reddell; three daughters, Brandy Fontenot of Reddell, Brittany Fontenot and her husband, Timothy Mochel, of Vidrine and Brandie Fontenot of Ville Platte; two brothers, Ray Ryder of Reddell and Mitch Soileau of Mamou; one sister, Debbie Fulton of Easton; and two grandchildren, Timothy Wayne Mochel Jr. and Linda Shyanne Douget.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Irving and Rose Soileau; and one sister, Danette Vasseur.
Father Matthew Barzarre officiated.
