Aubrey Catoire

Funeral services will be held for Aubrey Catoire, 81, of Ville Platte, at Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church in Ville Platte at 2 p.m., Thursday, June 18. Burial will follow in the Evangeline Memorial Park Cemetery.
A loving father, brother and friend, Mr. Catoire died Sunday, June 14, 2015, at Lafayette General Medical Center.
Survivors include three sons, William Catoire of Massachusetts and Aubrey M. Catoire and Thomas Catoire, both of Ville Platte; one daughter, Marie Catoire Sylvester of Ville Platte; his companion, Merline Thibodeaux of Ville Platte; and one sister, Ruth Bernard of Scott. Also left behind to cherish his memory are his 13 grandchildren, Madison Catoire Reddell, Tiera Catoire, Lucas Catoire, Hailey Catoire, Mason Hazelton, Trey Catoire, Abbey Fontenot, Claire Buller, Alizabeth Peacock, Naomi Fontenot, Melisa Soileau, Jason Soileau and Adam Sylvester.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Lenora Fontenot and Isabella Poolson; one brother-in-law, James Fontenot; his first wife, Mary Catoire; his second wife, Pauline Clavin Catoire; and one granddaughter, Sarah Sylvester.
