Barbara Jean Chauvin

BAYOU CHICOT - Funeral services will be held for Barbara Jean Chauvin, 79, of Bayou Chicot, at Calvary Baptist Church in Bayou Chicot at 2 p.m., Saturday, February 22. Burial will follow in the Ferguson Cemetery.
Ms. Chauvin died Thursday, February 20, 2014, at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria. She was born on December 5, 1934, in Ville Platte to the union of Dudley Griffith and Anna Holden Griffith. She was a life-long resident of Bayou Chicot. She was a loving homemaker. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend.
Survivors include one son, Lance Chauvin and his wife, Christine, of Bayou Chicot; three brothers, Cody Griffith and his wife, Mary, and Earl Griffith, all of Bayou Chicot, and John Griffith and his wife, Peggy, of Alexandria; two grandchildren, Tanya Lynn Miller and her husband, Lennis, and Robert Lance Chauvin and his wife, Jennifer, all of Bayou Chicot; three great-grandchildren, Katie Lynn Clark, Landon James Vidrine and Macy Jo Chauvin; and a host of family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dudley and Anna Holden Griffith; her husband, Bobby Joe Chauvin; one nephew, Kent Griffith; and one niece, Kathy Griffith.
Pall bearers honored to serve were Barry Fontenot, Jordan Fontenot, Patton Griffith, Cody Glenn Griffith, Evan Griffith and Robert Lance Chauvin.
Revs. Wayne Holston and Mark Breland will officiate.
White Oaks Funeral Home of Oakdale will be in charge of arrangements.
