MAMOU - Funeral services were held for Berna Kuntze, 90, of Mamou, at the Ardoin’s Funeral Home Chapel in Mamou at 2 p.m., Friday, January 15. Burial followed in the New St. Ann’s Mausoleum.
A wonderful sister, aunt and friend, Ms. Kuntze died Wednesday, January 13, 2016, at Savoy Medical Center in Mamou. She retired as a seaman in the Merchant Marines.

Survivors include one brother, Johnny Pommier of Mamou; two sisters, Bernice Siebert of Mamou and Joyce Powell of Eunice; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Yourick and Jeanne Guillory; two brothers, Joseph Enos Guillory and Burley Guillory; three half-brothers, Yourick Guillory Jr., George Louis Guillory and Rodney Guillory; one step-brother, Clement Pommier; and two step-sisters, Emily Duke and Ruby Flores.
Pastor David Plunkett officiated.
