Funeral services were held for Bernadine McMillen, 66, of Ville Platte, at the Ardoin’s Funeral Home Chapel in Ville Platte at 10 a.m., Tuesday, January 13. Burial followed in the Evangeline Memorial Park Cemetery.
A loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother, Mrs. McMillen died Sunday, January 11, 2015.
Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Gene McMillen of Ville Platte; one son, Jay Fontenot and his wife, Kylie, of Eunice; and one daughter, Monica Delahoussaye and her companion, Heidi LaFleur, of Carencro. Also left behind to cherish her memory are her four grandchildren, Jonathan Delahoussaye, Samantha Delahoussaye, Keegan Theriot and Jayden Fontenot; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Polite and Genevieve Fontenot; one son, Timothy Scott McMillen; three brothers, Hubert, Herbert and JY Fontenot; and one sister, Gloria Vidrine.
Deacon Eugene LeBouef officiated.
