MAMOU - Funeral services were held for Berthalene Guillory Ortego, 87, of Mamou, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Mamou at 12 noon, Wednesday, December 24. Burial followed in the New St. Ann’s Cemetery.
A loving mother and grandmother, Mrs. Ortego died Tuesday, December 23, 2014.
Survivors include her beloved husband of 71 years, Leroy Ortego of Mamou; two daughters, Sherran Vidrine and her husband, Edward, and Cathy Berzas and her husband, James, all of Mamou; six grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mayo and Bertha Marcantel Guillory; and her sister, Mabel Ardoin.
Father Mark Melancon officiated.
