VILLE PLATTE - Funeral services for Billy Don Rose, 87, were held Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial followed in the Evangeline Memorial Cemetery. Fr. Taj Glodd officiated.
Rose, a resident of Ville Platte, passed away Thursday, January 26, 2017 at Savoy Medial Center in Mamou.
He was a past grandmaster of the Masonic Lodge.
He will be missed by his loving family, wife, Georgia Lee Rose of Ville Platte; sons, George Anthony Rose and wife, Christie, of Watauga, Texas, Paul Wayne Rose and wife, Anna, of Ville Platte; daughters Betty Lafleur and husband, Ervin, of Ville Platte, Shirley Rider, of Ville Platte, and Jannette Rose, of LeCompte; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, George Griffin and Florence Whittington Rose, and brother, O.C. Rose.
LaVille Funeral Home in Ville Platte was in charge of arrangements.
