Bobery Joseph Moreau

OPELOUSAS - Funeral services were held for Bobery Joseph Moreau, 81, of Swords, at the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas at 1:30 p.m., Friday, January 31. Burial followed in the Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Moreau died Wednesday, January 29, 2014, at Lafayette General Medical Center. He was retired from the La. State Board of Health, Human Resource Department, after 30 years of service. He was proud of his BS degree earned from SLI (now UL-L) in dairy manufacture with a minor in chemistry. He loved raising his cattle after his retirement and spending time with his family and many friends. He is going to be sadly missed by all that loved and knew him.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Nancy Johnson Moreau of Swords; two daughters, Marcella “Marcy” Arton and her husband, Larry, of Jeanerette and Jennifer Castille of Lawtell; one sister, Merle Fontenot of Ville Platte; five grandchildren, Stacey Deiss, Lance Castille, Benjamin Castille, Brandon J. Castille and Luke Perkins; and seven great-grandchildren, Lindsey, Dylan and Asher Deiss, Brooke Soileau, and Andrew, Riley and Sophia Castille.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lorris and Elvina Bergeron Moreau; and two sisters, Lou Rae Guillory and Mildred Guidry.
