Carroll Duplechin

EUNICE - Funeral services were held for Carroll Duplechin, 71, of Eunice, at the Ardoin’s Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice at 2 p.m., Tuesday, July 1. Burial followed in the Reed Cemetery in L’anse Meg.
Mr. Duplechin died Sunday, June 29, 2014, at Opelousas General Health System with his loving family by his side. He worked in the oilfield and loved animals and chickens; but most of all, he was a wonderful father, brother and grandfather. He will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include one son, John K. Duplechin and his wife, Lisa, of Eunice; two brothers, Dupre Duplechin Jr of Carencro and Riley Duplechin and his wife, Cheryl, of Rayne; three sisters, Hazel Guillory of Ville Platte, Betty Thibodeaux and her husband, James, of Basile and Linda McWhirter and her husband, Winczel, of Turkey Creek. He was a wonderful and loving grandfather to two grandchildren, Amber Dupre and her husband, Ben, of Mamou and Brock Dupelchin of Eunice; and one great-grandson, Mason Dupre.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dupre and Martha Thomas Duplechin; his infant son, Jason Duplechin; one grandson, Lance Duplechin; two brothers, Simon and Mentor Dupelchin; one sister, Earline McMillen; and his previous wife, Cathy Reed.
Deacon David Guillory officiated.
