MAMOU - Funeral services were held for Charles Alvin “Chuck” Sonnier, 79, of Mandeville, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Mamou at 11 a.m., Thursday, December 3,
A native of Mamou, Mr. Sonnier died Monday, November 23, 2015, at the Pontchartrain Health Care Center in Mandeville.
Survivors include his loving wife of 23 years, Sandra; four sons, Scott (Robin), Kevin (Dona), Christopher (Pam) and Jeffery (Angela); and two brothers, Keith Sonnier of New York and Barry Sonnier of Miami, Florida. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jason, Jeremy (Lacey), Tyler (Lacey), Grant, Kelsey, Taylor, Richard Joseph, Kameron, Landon and Jacob Sonnier and Lucy Hassinger; and two great-grandchildren, Oliver Francis and Isla Mae.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mae and Joseph Sonnier; his first wife, Nora Prudhomme; his second wife, Vallie Jo Sonnier; and one grandson, Corey Sonnier.
