MAMOU - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Cora Mae Rozas Fontenot at 10 a.m. on Thursday, August 4, 2016 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Mamou. Rite of Committal will follow in New St. Ann Mausoleum with Father Alphonse Thainese Celebrant. Visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Mamou Thursday, August 4 from 8 a.m. until time of services.
Fontenot, 88, passed away on Monday, August 01, 2016 at Oaklane Wellness and Rehabilitation Center in Eunice.
Fontenot was a beloved homemaker, mother, and grandmother who dedicated herself to the care of her family. She will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her especially her son, James Darnell Fontenot; daughters, Mary Eza Fontenot Guillory and husband, Don, and Emmaline Fontenot Martin and husband, Carl, all of Crosby, Texas; eight grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; as well as extended family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Whitney Fontenot; parents, Armas and Melicia Rozas; brothers, Curry and Dudley Rozas; and sister, Eza Mary Dougia.
Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Mamou is in charge of arrangements.
