Tulane business professor
NEW ORLEANS – Services for Tulane business professor Dr. Lesley Baker will be Saturday. She died at age 69.
She was on the faculty of Tulane’s Freeman School of Business for more than 20 years
Survivors include her mother and two children.

Southern U. official
BATON ROUGE – Services for attorney, mortuary executive and former Southern University official Dr. Jerome Harris will be Saturday. He died Feb. 2 at age 71.
He was former counsel to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission in Washington, D.C. and director of financial aid at the Southern University Law Center, among other university posts he held. He retired from the university after 30 years employment. He was CFO for Roscoe Mortuary and founder and owner of Harris & Harris Law Firm.
Survivors include his wife Edith and two children.
Noted real estate appraiser
BATON ROUGE – Services for former international president of the Society of Real Estate Appraisers Oren Russell will be Friday. He died Feb. 4 at age 82.
He was a former Baton Rouge Realtor of the Year, member of the Commercial-Industrial Division of the Board of Realtors and former president of Bocage Racquet Club.
Survivors include his wife Ann and two children.

Retreat director
GRAND COTEAU – Services for counselor, teacher and retreat director the Rev. Fred Reynolds, S.J. will be Saturday. He died Feb. 3 at age 72.
He was ordained in New Iberia and was associate pastor at St. Charles Borromeo Church here for six years. He was also former chaplain at the VA Hospital in Pineville and Catholic campus minister at Southern University. He was retreat director at Our Lady of the Oaks here and was on the staff of Jesuit College Preparatory School in Dallas, Texas.
Survivors include two brothers and a sister.

ULM professor emeritus
MONROE – Services for ULM professor emeritus of biology Dr. Beryl Franklin will be Feb. 8. He died at age 90.
He was a veteran of World War II’s Battle of the Bulge and held two Purple Hearts. He taught at the university almost 30 years.
Survivors include his wife Nancy.
