Demetrius Deontae’ Bergeron

Funeral services were held for Demetrius Deontae’ Bergeron, 19, of Ville Platte, at the LaVille Funeral Home Chapel in Ville Platte at 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 9. Burial followed in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Belaire Cove.
Mr. Bergeron died Sunday, March 6, 2016, at Opelousas General Health System.
Survivors include his mother, Tanya Bergeron of Carencro; his father, Edwin Wilson Jr. of Lafayette; his grandmothers, Barbara Bergeron of Mamou and Linda Wilson of Vidrine; his godfather, Chief Neil Lartigue and his wife, Fonda, of Ville Platte; Marie Chapman of Ville Platte; Kylie Chapman of Ville Platte; one brother, Cortez Wilson of Lafayette; two sisters, Justice Bergeron and Alexis Wilson, both of Lafayette; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
