Don Wayne Lafleur

Funeral services were held for Don Wayne Lafleur, 73, of Ville Platte, at the Ardoin’s Funeral Home Chapel in Ville Platte at 1 p.m., Wednesday, September 9. Burial followed in the Platin Cemetery.
Mr. Lafleur died Monday, September 7, 2015, at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Ville Platte. He was a veteran, having proudly served his country in the United States Army National Guard. One of his greatest joys during his life was that of being an accomplished musician, drummer and singer. He also took great pride in being a loving father to his children.
Survivors include one son, Clint Lafleur of Ville Platte; one step-son, Justin Lafleur of Grand Prairie; and three daughters, Connie Cheramie Hall and her husband, David, of Hattisburg, Mississippi, and Tammy Lafleur Kalb and Tressa Lafleur Fontenot and her husband, Doug, all of Lafayette. Also left behind to cherish his memory are his former wife, Judy Lafleur of Grand Prairie; one brother, John Burke Lafleur of Mamou; one sister, Betty Lafleur Hight and her husband, Bill, of Mamou; and 10 grandchildren, Kade, Alex, Dylan, Dustin, Christopher, Taylor, Summer, Jaxtyn, Edison and Rachell.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Kirtly and Anna Lafleur; and one brother, Joseph Kirtly Lafleur Jr.
