Dorothy Brown Guillory

Funeral services will be held for Dorothy Brown Guillory, 81, of Ville Platte, at Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic  Church in Ville Platte at 10 a.m., Saturday, August 8. Burial will follow in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
Ms. Guillory died Wednesday, August 5, 2015, at her residence.
Survivors include two sons, Richard Guillory and Keith Guillory, both of Ville Platte; one daughter, Deborah (Debbie) Poret and her husband, Dan, of Ville Platte; one brother, Voorhies Brown and his wife, Norma, of Washington; five grandchildren, Dawn Poret Fontenot, Kim Poret Cloud, Renee Poret Nevils, Madison Leigh Guillory and Hydi Renee Guillory; and eight great-grandchildren, Olivia Ann Fontenot, Casey Dunagan, Courtney Cloud Gotreaux, Carly Cloud, Colby Cloud, Justin Nevils, Taylor Nevils and Makaylin Guillory.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Pierre and Olivia Vidrine Brown; her husband, Herman Guillory; one brother, Louis Allen Brown; and two sisters, Mary Mae Fontenot and Lou Helen Brown.
Father Matthew Bazare will officiate.
