VILLE PLATTE - Funeral services for Dudley Joseph Meyer, 85, were held Friday, October 28, 2016 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial followed in the Sacred Heart Mausoleum. Fr. Mitch Guidry officiated.
Meyer, a resident of Ville Platte, passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at Mercy Regional Medical Center.
He will be deeply missed by his loving family, wife, Jane Brown Meyer of Ville Platte; sons, Ricky Meyer and wife, Pat, of Scott, Mark Meyer and wife, Paula, of Tate Cove; daughters, Becky Gaudin and husband, Milton, of Lewisville, Texas, Pam Briley and husband, Keith, of Ville Platte, Melanie Soileau and husband, Tommy, of Chicot; sister, Betty Miller of Butte LaRose; 13 grandchildren, Jason Gaudin, Brandy Stalberger, Kellie Anderson, Kristy Morvant, Shane Briley, Dustin Meyer, Kyle Meyer, AJ Meyer, Monique Loga, Dawn Scott, Brandon Meyer, Nicole Granger, Brittany Marin; three step-grandchildren, Danny Amy, Jeremy Drummond, Eric Drummond; 19 great-grandchildren, Caitlyn, Haley, Taylor, Megan, Daegan, Alyvia, Zoie, Isabelle, Trey, Luke, Emily, Grayson, Camille, Alexis, Kaylie, Bethani, Brayden, Mallory, Aubrey; and 10 step-great grandchildren, Landyn, Gracie, Hunter, Laiken, Abby, Dylan, Nick, Charisse, Sydney and Carter. He is preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Ida Kenneson Meyer, son, Jerry Dale Meyer; brothers, Elroy Meyer, Nelson Meyer; and sisters, Eunice Reed, Amy Savoie and Honora Meyer.
