MAMOU - . Funeral Services for Dudley Bertrand, 84, were held at the Ardoin Funeral Home Chapel in Mamou on Tuesday, September 27, 2016. Burial followed in the Fontenot Mausoleum in Mamou with Father Thainese officiating. Bertrand passed away Friday, September 23, 2016, at Savoy Medical Center in Mamou.
Bertrand was a retired State Trooper serving Troop K for twenty-three years. He was a Veteran of the United States Army.
Dudley will be greatly missed by his son, Rabon “Ray” Bertrand of Oakdale; one brother, Eddie Bertrand of Indiana; one sister, Leary Murphy of Lake Charles; and four grandchildren, Kristen and Brandon Bertrand and Mike and Ryan Bertrand.
Bertrand will now reunite in Heaven with his wife, Jenetta Bertrand and one son, Dudley Scott (Butch) Bertrand. They surely await him with open arms and joyous hearts.
Ardoin’s Funeral Home of Mamou was in charge of arrangements.
