Ella Mae Fontenot Perron

MAMOU - Funeral services were held for Ella Mae Fontenot Perron, 96, of Mamou, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Mamou at 3 p.m., Tuesday, May 20. Burial followed in the New St. Ann’s Cemetery.
A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Ms. Perron died Saturday, May 17, 2014, at Savoy Care Center in Mamou.
Survivors include one son, Derrell Perron and his wife, Faye, of Mamou; two daughters, Sybil Ann Nines and her husband, John, of Cleveland, Ohio, and Jane Ella Fontenot and her husband, Wayne, of Mamou; and one daughter-in-law, Shirley Perron. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of her 12 grandchildren, Donald Perron, Naomi Ruegge, Ricky Peters, Penny Welch, Scott Peters, David Nines, Cindy Nines, Angie Nines, Tammy Vincent, Jeremy Perron, Sadie Fontenot and Haley Miller. She was further blessed with 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.They were the absolute light of her life.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Perron; her parents, Lubin and Martia Fontenot; one son, Terry Perron; two daughters, Bonnie Ann Peters and Janella Perron; and one brother, Chester Fontenot.
Father Alphonse Thainese officiated.
