Eloise Henry

Funeral services were held for Eloise Henry, 94, of Pine Prairie, at the Pine Prairie Church of Christ at 2 p.m., Tuesday, July 7. Burial followed in the Ferguson Cemetery in Bayou Chicot.
Ms. Henry died Saturday, July 4, 2015, at Prairie Manor Nursing Home in Pine Prairie. She was born August 8, 1920, in Bayou Chicot to John Hartzfelds and Beuna Rollins Hartzfelds. She was a member of the Pine Prairie Church of Christ and loving homemaker. She retired from the Valley Canning Sweet Potato Plant in Ville Platte. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
Survivors include one son, Marion “Junior” (Barbara) Henry Jr. of Upper Pine Prairie; three daughters, Ruth Hebert and Joyce Pierce (Martin) Bailey, all of Pine Prairie, and Lorraine (Bo) Sanchez of Woodlawn; one brother, R.C. (Alice) Andrus of Moss Bluff; 17 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; 21 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Marion “Snook” Henry Sr.; two brothers, infant Alvin Hartzfelds and Tom Hartzfelds; two sisters, Maxie Ellis and Sylvia Ellis; one granddaughter, Karen Hebert; special sister-in-law, Leona Hartzfelds; and three sons-in-law, Wilfred “B” Hebert, Horace “T-Man” Hebert and Jimmy Pierce.
Pall bearers honored to serve were Gabe Pierce, Ryan Pierce, C.J. Pierce, Michael Fleming, Bryan Maddox and Randy Pierce.
Brothers Jonathan Johnson and Jamie Roberts officiated.
White Oaks Funeral Home of Oakdale was in charge of arrangements.
