VILLE PLATTE - Funeral services for Verdon Lamke, 77, were held Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at Our Lady Queen of All Saints. Burial followed in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Fr. Mitch Guidry officated.
Lamke, a resident of Ville Platte, passed away Sunday October 2, 2016 at the Heart Hospital of Lafayette.
He will be deeply missed by his loving family, wife Verdie M. Lamke of Ville Platte; son Duane Aldon Lamke and wife Gretchen of Pine Prairie; daughters Paula Lee and husband Benny, Melissa Hall and husband Mike, Marla Yeager and husband Mark, all of Ville Platte; brothers George Burton Lamke of Pine Prairie, Robert Lamke of Port Barre, Jimmy Lamke of Pine Prairie, and Ray Lamke of Ville Platte; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents George and Gertie Vidrine Lamke, son Anthony Duane Lamke, granddaughter, Haylie Lee, brother, Aldon Lamke.
Laville Funeral Home in Ville Platte was in charge of arrangements.
