Emma Joyce Soileau

Funeral services will be held for Emma Joyce Soileau, 76, of Ville Platte, at the Ardoin’s Funeral Home Chapel in Ville Platte at 10 a.m., Thursday, February 26. Burial will follow in the Evangeline Memorial Park Cemetery.
A loving mother and grandmother, Ms. Soileau died Sunday, February 22, 2015. She was a respected and trusted librarian in Ville Platte for many years.
Survivors include two sons, Tommy Phillip Soileau and his wife, Melanie, of Ville Platte and Abel Paul Fontenot and his wife, Lisa, of Reddell; and one daughter, Laura Soileau Prejean and her husband, Wayne, of Searcy, Arkansas. Also left behind to cherish her memory are her 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Nolan Soileau and Harris Fontenot; her parents, George Sr. and Emma Soileau; one daughter, Martha Jean Soileau; one son, James Lenus Soileau; one sister, Jeanne Soileau; and two brothers, J.C. Soileau and James Lenus Soileau.
Father Jason Vidrine will officiate.
