Ernestine Landreneau Fontenot

Funeral services will be held for Ernestine Landreneau Fontenot, 95, of Ville Platte, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ville Platte at 11 a.m., today, March 31. Burial will follow in the Sacred Heart Mausoleum.
Ms. Fontenot died Saturday, March 26, 2016, at her residence.
Survivors include two sons, Robert Fontenot and his wife, Mary Jo, of Walla Walla, Washington, and Peter Wallace Fontenot and his wife, Jackie, of Ville Platte; three daughters, Gloria Cifreo and her husband, Robert, of Metairie, Beth Morein and her husband, Don, of Ville Platte and Peggy Farraro of Lake Charles; 18 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Zenon and Atile Brignac Landreneau; her husband, Wallace Fontenot; four brothers, Charles Landreneau, Eldridge Landreneau, Clement Landreneau and Ladislas Landreneau; and two sisters, Celeste Bourgeois and Ethel Thibodeaux.
