Essie Mae Thompson

Funeral services were held for Essie Mae Thompson, 91, of L’anse Gris, at Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church in Ville Platte on Monday, June 8. Burial followed in the St. Peter’s Cemetery in Pine Prairie.
Ms. Thompson died Friday, June 5, 2015, at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Ville Platte.
Survivors include two sons, Landy Thompson and his wife, Nancy, of Chataignier and David Thompson and his wife, Pam, of Lake Charles; one sister, Delza Attilio and her husband, Tony, of Baytown, Texas; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Emma Brunet Johnson; her husband, Clavin Thompson; and one son, Terry Thompson.
