BAYOU CHICOT - Funeral services will be held for Evelyn Anselm Martin, 86, of Bayou Chicot, at First Baptist Church in Ville Platte at 10 a.m., Thursday, April 21. Burial will follow in the Vandenburg Cemetery.
Ms. Martin died Tuesday, April 19, 2016.
Survivors include two daughters, Jane Mayeux and her husband, Michael, of Scott and Peggy Fontenot and her husband, Kerry, of Pine Prairie; 12 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Isiah and Blanch Deville Anselm; her husband, Rev. Samuel S. Martin; two daughters, Inez LeBas and Carol Fontenot; one brother, Merrick Deville; and two sisters, Clara Mitchell and Ella Mae Clark.
The family expresses many thanks and heartfelt gratitude to Rev. Kevin West, all care givers and Heart of Hospice.
