Faye Grantham Sharpe

TURKEY CREEK - Funeral services will be held for Faye Grantham Sharpe, 79, of Turkey Creek, at the White Oaks Memorial Chapel in Oakdale at 10 a.m., Friday, July 11. Burial will follow in the Turkey Creek Cemetery.
Mrs. Sharpe died Saturday, June 28, 2014, in Mamou. She was born on April 30, 1935, in Glenmora to the union of Elmer Clay Grantham Sr. and Eleanor Martin Grantham. She was a homemaker and a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend.
Survivors include her loving husband of 60 years, Ray Sharpe of Turkey Creek; one daughter, D’Wana Sharpe Willis (Freddie) of Plainview; six sons, Kenneth “Buzz” Sharpe (Marilyn), Steve Sharpe (Sherri), Todd Sharpe (Monda) and Randy Sharpe (Betty), all of Turkey Creek, Michael “Bo” Sharpe (Jo) of Colfax and Darrell Sharpe (Gwen) of Pineville; one brother, Clay Grantham; four sisters, Lee Niessiangh, Norma Blackwell, Judy Crooks and Brenda Marquez; 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer Clay Grantham Sr. and Eleanor Martin Grantham; and one brother, Calvin Grantham.
Pall bearers will be Corey Paulk, Scott Sharpe, Claude Sharpe, Ronnie King, Kevin Barzare and Billy Durrett.
Visitation will be held Thursday, July 10, from 12 noon until service time in the chapel on Friday, July 11, at 10 a.m.
Rev. Irwin Goodman and Brother Charles Seals will officiate.
White Oaks Funeral Home of Oakdale will be in charge of arrangements.
