Flora Fontenot

MAMOU - Funeral services will be held for Flora Fontenot, 86, of Mamou, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Mamou at 3 p.m., Wednesday, February 26. Burial will follow in the New St. Ann’s Cemetery.
A wonderful father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend, Mr. Fontenot died Monday, February 24. 2014, at Savoy Medical Center in Mamou. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him. He was a carpenter for G.J. Deville Lumber Company for years. He worked at True Value in later years.
Survivors include one son, Eric Mark Fontenot and his wife, Valerie, of Mamou; two daughters, Mrs. Michael (Lelia) Bordelon of Bordelonville and Ms. Myra Fontenot of Denham Springs; two sisters, Mary Ida Curran and her husband, Ray, of Mamou and Gloria Mae Dimartino of Baton Rouge; five grandchildren, Misti Fontenot, Krista Vidrine and her husband, Joel, Erica McPhatter and her husband, Brett, Mary Allison Fontenot and Adam Mark Fontenot; three great-grandchildren, Blaze Vidrine, Devin Fontenot and Madison Fontenot.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Grada Belle Ledoux Fontenot; his parents, Pascal and Louise Fontenot; and one brother-in-law, Sam Dimartino.
Father Mark Melancon will officiate.
