Funeral services will be held for Gaffery Arvie Jr., 48, of Ville Platte, at Antioch Baptist Church in Ville Platte at 11 a.m., Saturday, July 5. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Arvie died Sunday, June 29, 2014, in Mamou.
Survivors include his mother, Ruby Arvie of Ville Platte; three daughters, Unvonica Arvie and Latoya Stagg, both of Mamou, and Alisha (Reginald) Arvie of Ville Platte; three sons, Ryan Allison, Sheamus Frank and Jaylon Fontenot, all of Ville Platte; three sisters, Ruthie (Cursey) Chapman, Carol Arvie and Ruthie Ann Arvie, all of Ville Platte; and 11 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gaffery Arvie Sr.
Rev. Reginald Arvie will officiate.
Owens-Thomas Funeral Home of Ville Platte will be in charge of arrangements.
