VILLE PLATTE - Funeral services for Gertie Pratt Mayeux, 84, were held Tuesday December 13, 2016 at Our Lady Queen of all Saints Catholic Church. Burial followed in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Father Mitch Guidry officated.
Mayeux, a resident of Ville Platte, passed away Sunday, December 11, 2016 at her residence.
She will be deeply missed by her loving family, sons, Michael P. Mayeux and wife, Jane, of Scott, Stephen Paul Mayeux and wife, Paula, of Grand Prairie, John Edward Mayeux and wife, Kay, of Ville Platte, Gilbert Andrew Mayeux and wife, Michelle, of Ville Platte, Peter Damien Mayeux and wife, Mary, of Lafayette; daughters, Kathryn Hollier and husband, Richard, of Kinder, Rose Mary Miller and husband, John, of Scott, Angela Rozas and husband, Mitchell, and Gemma Miller and husband, Tony, all of Ville Platte, Kateri Manuel of Lafayette, Adrienne Ebrahim of Richmond, Texas; brother, Mackie L. Pratt and wife, Janice, of Lafayette; 36 grandchildren; and 49 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Mackie and Rosalie Tate Pratt; husband, Paul Mayeux; son, Joseph Francis Mayeux, and brother, Laddie Pratt.
LaVille Funeral Home in Ville Platte was in charge of arrangements.
