Hope Granger Cain

MAMOU - Funeral services were held for Hope Granger Cain, 39, of Mamou, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Mamou at 2 p.m., Friday, February 14. Burial followed in the New St. Ann’s Cemetery.
A wonderful wife, mother, sister and friend, Mrs. Cain died Wednesday, February 12, 2014, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette. “Hopie,” as everyone knew her, will be missed. There will be a void in our small town of Mamou. She was mother of the Herdsmen Third Platoon Attack Troop 1-61 Calvary.
Survivors include her husband of 12 years, George Cain of Mamou; two wonderful children, Carli and William Cain, both of Mamou; one sister, Angie Granger of Mamou; and two godchildren, Reagan Douget of Mamou and Rudi “Roo” Harden of Houston, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Percy and Tracy Granger; her maternal grandparents, Hammy and Jimmy Lee Fontenot; and her paternal grandparents, Curley and Rose Granger.
Father Jude Thierry and Father Mark Melancon officiated.
