Jacqueline “Jackie” Dupre Fontenot

Funeral services were held for Jacqueline “Jackie” Dupre Fontenot, 82, of Ville Platte, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ville Platte at 10 a.m., Wednesday, January 13. Burial followed in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Prairie Ronde.
A loving mother, sister and grandmother, Ms. Fontenot died Saturday, January 9, 2016, at Avoyelles Manor Nursing Home in Plaucheville.
Survivors include one son, Gus Fontenot of Hammond; one brother, Paul Gus Dupre and his wife, Madeline, of Opelousas; and one sister, Bernita “Bonnie” Dupre Parks and her husband, George, of Opelousas. Also left behind to cherish her memory are her two grandchildren, David J. Fontenot of Opelousas and Julie F. Maxey of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and her special niece, Jennifer McDaniel.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Talbot and Lelma Ardoin Dupre; her husband, Joseph Urel Fontenot; two brothers, Charles T. Dupre and Larry John Dupre; and one sister, Juanita Dupre.
